Ancient DNA extraction
The first stage of work with samples obtained during the expedition to the Commander Islands has begun.
Today we have begun the process of extracting DNA from the bone samples that we collected during the expedition to the Commander Islands, and preparing DNA libraries for subsequent sequencing.
In most cases, work with ancient DNA cannot be automated (it is difficult to unify), and it has to be done entirely manually. Based on this, we are going to process all samples within a month.
